Fixing my 1940s Minimal Traditional home. Big box stores lack the right supplies, staff and service. A neighbor recommended to go to Cobb Building Materials. I arrived 10 minutes before closing. I was welcomed by the staff, they took my order and on one item they did not carry they refereed me to a local seller. When staff and other the customers are happy and helpful you ought to check out the place! A great incentive to buy local. Supplies are gathered by staff in no time and they deliver FAST and on time.

Today i was treated very well, all workers where running to help customer, all phones being answered, even had call in orders ready for customer. I was very please with the service and dedication of all the workers.

Mr. Cobb is always a gentleman always have what I'm looking for. What I like about this store is that you could grab the amount of stuff you need and don't have to purchase of whole box. Informative of all inventory, and very attentive, generous, and gets me great deals. Great route or location of store. Love all selections they provide. Staff is well mannered as well. For 10 years been going there. Always professional and accommodate me. Always have what's needed. I just do not have a lot of need for hardware, plumbing, and lumber. Wish I did. Great little place.

Truckers, If bringing in a load to these guys please call them to give them a heads up, these guys are the nicest people I have dealt with, let them know you are inbound and they will clear out any vehicles in the way, it is a TINY YARD for a big rig but you can fit in, plus the workers WILL SPOT for you, pull up to unload, they will STOP traffic to back out, they unload QUICK but you still have time to grab a bite next door, be safe.

Amazing little shop!

The service at this establishment is incredible! I am the type that calls around to compare prices and they had their competition beat. Saved me $400 on my total order. The only negative is that they do not scatter the shingles on the roof. They DO deliver and will hoist shingles up with a forklift. With the money we saved, we were able to hire some hands to get the job done faster! And she was very patient and accommodating with all my questions. Will be recommending to everyone!

After wasting an hour of phone time trying to buy or "special order" a common roofing item from the big box stores in San Antonio, these good and knowledgeable people completed my search in less than a minute. Five stars.

Staff is very helpful

I hate going to big box stores... Employees seem annoyed if you ask for help. At Cobbs...everybody seems to enjoy what they are doing and make me feel like I am appreciated. Along with great prices and super fast service.. Hope I never have to go to H.D. again!
